Are we being left unable to meet our obligations and risking the lives of Marines and Sailors? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/are-we-being-left-unable-to-meet-our-obligations-and-risking-the-lives-of-marines-and-sailors

It appears years of budget cuts are leaving us more at risk that we might think. At some point, less is not more, less is just less.

http://news.yahoo.com/u-budget-cuts-erode-crisis-response-navy-marines-172042731.html

Invite others to respond by typing @name Tue, 10 Mar 2015 16:25:53 -0400 Are we being left unable to meet our obligations and risking the lives of Marines and Sailors? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/are-we-being-left-unable-to-meet-our-obligations-and-risking-the-lives-of-marines-and-sailors

It appears years of budget cuts are leaving us more at risk that we might think. I think we all want to have a good attitude about budget cuts and to soldier on, no matter what, but - as General Dunford says - the administration may have to change the USA's national strategy if the cuts continue or go further than predicted. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that sometimes less is just less. That's so true! We can do our best with less, but there will come a point when we must do less with less. That's just a fact. CW5 Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 10 Mar 2015 16:41:52 -0400 2015-03-10T16:41:52-04:00 Response by CSM Michael J. It is a compounding problem, one you cannot just throw money at and expect it to be turned around. It compounds itself by using substandard training techniques and exercises, you develop bad habits that take time to reverse. This can truly become very detrimental. CSM Michael J.
