I was appointed as a PBO in 1975 because 92B had not been established yet. CW4 Wally Adaway sat on my board. We were stationed together in Frankfurt. He was a W01 and did not apply for warrant until his 18th year. Warrants can stay 40 years on active. Which he did. I spent 26. The president of the Board was an 0-6 Veterinary Officer, and there were Warrants and other Veterinary Corp Officers in my selection board.

Back then it was different than a promotion board, it was limited to Veterinary Corps Officers. I don't know if they still do it that way, or maybe it's different for some Corps.
