Post Tramatic Stress Disorder Cohorts Unite (PCU) is a group consisting of PTSD Cohort Members. The purpose of the group is to exchange information and provide support for members and family after treatment and to support Veterans that have been through the program and still have interests in keeping in touch with cohort members while also supporting veterans and families that still have symptoms of the diagnosis affecting the veteran and family. The support network will help to support veterans where the VA left off as this is a common problem with the current treatment from the VA. Also available on Facebook as PTSD Cohorts Unite or (PCU).

Chris,

I would be greatly interested in more info on this subject and this group, being a sufferer myself and not receiving the type of help or assistance from the VA that I thought I would since I am being rated for it in my disability rating. The appointments and medicinal help is so far apart in time available, I don't see how they expect any thing they are doing for me or anybody else to have any short or long term effect.

Any guidance or assistance to further learn about this group will be greatly appreciated. Good post, thanks for sharing.

I have a severe anxiety disorder and Social Security dx PTSD.   Needless to say I think your idea/group has the right idea and God bless you.  It does matter.  I thought I was going to kick some guys butt for posing as a veteran and alleging he was helping veterans.   He was getting money for himself.

Funny - comments about the patients at the VA remind me of the active duty docs at Luke AFB. In more of a hurry to get me in and out than to listen and see if there is a way to help. Fortunately for me my K9 buddy is more helpful. He knows when its coming before I do 95% of the time.
