I have TriCare and VA disability, and I work both sides to the middle, when necessary. I also used my G.I. Bill benefits to the max, and I've used my VA Certificate of Eligibility three times to buy homes. I reckon the only thing left now is a flag and a marble marker...hopefully, that's a ways off yet!!! At that point I plan on weighing the costs and benefits for sticking with VA treatment for cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and podiatry to determine whether I will stick with VA care or switch to TRICARE coverage. Don't think it's only for combat vets. If you need services get to the VA and sign up. Don't think you have to be service connected Disabled before you can qualify for health benefits.
