Are you aware of the Civil Air Patrol's missions and responsibilities for the USAF and the Nation?

All, today marks the 74th Anniversary of the establishment of the Civil Air Patrol within the Office of Civil Defense just prior to US involvement in WWII. In August 2015 the shifted USAF doctrine to include CAP as the fourth component of the USAF.

HQ, CAP-USAF is the USAF unit charged with USAF oversight of the Civil Air Patrol. In addition to active duty personnel, the unit does have Category E Reserve positions (drill for points) to support CAP. [You may contact Cap-USAF to determine current availability.]
