We need to throw down the gauntlet.

It is easy for all of us to stand here and say (wow! That is an example of an educator?)
Well folks it is. Also showing how easy it is to be an educator these days.

Meaning:
We need more RP Retired, Ex-Military and Veterans to become educators in those higher educational halls.
We could stand around and hope the enemy will stop. Naaa,,, Fk that. That is not how we think or how we are trained.
We all lean forward and inform the enemy that they have a choice. They can die running and tired or they can rethink their actions and stop their course of actions.
The higher educational halls do not have PT standards nor mandatory flight hour, at sea quotes nor do they have combat readiness reports that have to be met.

Whats needed?
Know your subject matter very well. Yes you will need a degree.
Find the topics that interest you and guess what? There are professors that teach that.
Go become the next one that we don't have to read in the news about. Well except that you did such and OUTSTANDING job with your students that they all became super successful.
The study of the law would always be of help.
Improvise, Adapt and Overcome.
When will you start this course in your life?

I intend to teach HS after graduating with my BA next year. After completing my MA, I intend to apply for a teaching position at a university.

If I am to teach it'll be at college level. Seeing what my mother went through with students from kindergarten to 8th grade scared me out of getting an education degree.

Believe me, I tried, I only as able to be an adjunct for one semester before Ku disability,mid had a couple of chances to teach, once as a lecture tenure track, once as an asst prof non tenure track...trust me, I tried to be allowed to be faculty more times than I can even recall, most days, and gotmvirtuappy nowhere, I'm afraid...imobv found it wasn't as easy as merely finishing a doctorate, I'd found out, you know? Ifmyoudmwamt me to elaborate, I can, of course, many thanks....believe me, as I said, I really tried, I've wanted to volunteer, however being total perm disabled, the rules formmema Draconian strict, I'm afraid, ifmyouve got any thoughts, I'd be most obliged, certainly....

Mennnn, I did instructor's duties for three years at the Defense Information School at Fort Meade, MD. Let me tell you, I never thought in my entire career I could do or perform such a duty. I found out that teaching/instructing is an art. You just don't stand there and start talking, you have to make a connection with the audience, push the "right" buttons so they want to come back for more knowledge. It takes time and lots of practice.
While on that duty, I found myself thinking about my days back in school which made me gain more respect for teachers...I don't know how they did it. But I also did learn a lot about myself and the things I can/could accomplish. Yes, students made fun of my accent been a puertorican, shoot I even made fun of my own self just as an ice breaker...worked like a charm. But, it is hard work and is not for everyone in my opinion.

I’ve been speaking in front of various-sized audiences for decades on a variety of subjects. From thousands to a handful. Know your subject every which way to Sunday is first and foremost. Practice a lot of MBMA, and it gets easier and easier.
