Our interactions with them brought smile on their faces and they were so grateful and felt so special that we came to visit them. The event was worth it, and I didn't feel like I wasted my time. I've volunteered in the past, but its been an awful long time. I've never seen a community outreach representative at the local unit level--is that a common additional duty now days?
