A Bounty Hunter hunts fugitives for profit anywhere in the world. A career as a Hunter is self-employed (free-lance) occupation contracted with Bail Bondsmen and government and compensated by a minimum percentage of 10% of the bail bond. You can negotiate up to the full penal sum of the bond(s) on the fugitive. Bonds are generally in the six-figure range and go as high as hundreds of millions these days. Bounty Hunters get paid CASH as soon as the arrest is made and most times make more in one day than most do in a year. It's much like the military but you are in control of everything. You have broader arrest powers than the police and the defendent on the run or fugitive has waived his/her rights. There is only one Academy in the Nation with tactical hands-on training serving the entire nation. There is a course in Las Vegas being filmed by the Belgiums and the MMA fighters. Discounts for Veterans by this Veteran based business and lifetime membership fees are all waived.

I see so far some very overweight children wearing clown suits and a poor excuse of a Sgt. and all have never had any combat experience giving juvenile judgments against an industry they know nothing about. You're quick to insult and compare real professionals to a clown like TV's Dog the Bounty Hunter who was never one to elevate your low esteem pride. Bounty Hunters made approxmately 55,000 arrests per annum. We do not cost the taxpayer a dime and there are maybe a dozne liability incidents per annum as compared to dozens of police brutality issues per day. We are in combat mode every day 24/7 hunting down the most dangerous felons, organized crime and even terrorists. I run the only social media sites for Bounty Hunters, Military, Law Enfoircement and Private PMC's on LinkedIn and elsewhere and sponsored by Military.com and Militaryconnections.com. My Academy has been recognized by the International media community literally hundreds of millions of times and I persoanlly have apprehended over 6,000 FFJ's in my 30 years. I've made many sacrifices like thousands of Veterans during those 30 years. I have taken a bullet and was stabbed by two Afghan Nationals and died on the operating table twice. I train SWAT teams, police and military across the world. We beleive in integrity, honor, God and Country. The problem with this country today is all the bystanders hiding underneath their 'cubicles' and watching Jihad come to America. As PMC's, at least we put boots on the ground. My academy web site is http://www.americanbountyhunter.org My family fought in all wars. Threy were brave and had respect for all including myself. If you have a problem and go on a military network making juvenile remarks, you are not a soldier nor a man. However, if you have something personally you like to say to me, come see me.

Let's see. The Bounty Hunters who showed up at the Chief of Police house was well documented in the media where Sherrill found it. Another team of Hunters posted a tip to an address of the Chief that they said (was a lead) where the fugitives was. They did not bust into the house. They knocked and had a conversation. It was embarassing yes but I was not there and do not have all the details of it. I know that one of the idiots was a felon and was charged appropriately. This profession is a great transitional career for Veterans and I do care where one gets there training from. I offer it to Veterans nearly at cost from $1200.00 to only $480.00 plus I waive the $500.000 lifetime membership fee. Some POS like pushing pencils where they pumped petroleum and never served on the front lines while others miss the action, excitement and adrenaline rush. The service to country domestically where you can make more in a week than others make in a year. You think it is dangerous but it is not. It is an assumption on your behalf and we all know what they say about assumptions. I've been at it for 30 years. It is a science of profiling, criminal science behavior, pre-text art and criminal science behavior. I train SWAT, police and military around the world, SERT teams in correctional centers besides Bounty Hunters. I've been shot and stabbed and resusitated. If you don't like the post or position, show some integrity and comment like a real Veteran. You re-read the comments Brad and I also read the author's CV's. I deal with damaged people everyday.

Scott Bernstein I'm a veteran and I'm attending college now studying criminal justice. I was thinking of either being a parol/probation officer or a bounty hunter. What advice do you have for someone like me?

Good question Michael. Being a parole or probation officer is basicaly the same; monitoring and supervising the release of a defendant. You sit behind a desk everyday asking the same questions following the government's beauracracy and systematic objectives given to you. There is not much of a learning curve, room for advancement, challenge, excitement, travel, adventure, growth, etc. It is very regimented and restrictive. If you are looking for something that offers an adrenaline rush every single day, when every day is different, there is challenge every day of your life, travel, working with local, state and federal agencies, adventure, dynamics and one where you are sitting around waiting for a pay check, then you may consider working as a Bounty Hunter. It is also a recession proof industry. Law Enforcement, probation and parole will go into the private sector eventually, even the military and police. Who has the boots on the ground? With all due respect to my brothers in blue, who has proven day after day, year after year is more effective? Thank you for your service Michael. Follow your heart. What impact do you want to have and what legacy do you want to leave on this earth? Good luck in your endeavors.

Scott Bernstein Do they have a web site? How does a school in Vegas cover individual state regulations regarding Bail Enforcement. It wasn't long ago I remember hearing about Bail Enforcement Officers who wound up in deep because they had an anonymous tip that a fugitive was in a particular residence. The residence happened to belong to the Chief of Police. How is that covered? I don't want to be a negative as it is an interesting line of work (despite Dog The Bounty Hunter), but it seems like an awful lot of information would need to be included in a school of this nature.

http://www.americanbountyhunter.org This is the only Academy in the nation that offers training modules all across the nation with over 30 years of experience and over 10,000 graduates. We cover every states regulations, statutes and laws in about 15 minutes. It is in our 200 page training book. The tactical training we offer includes proper door/window breach and a proper room clearance. We train our students in Krav Maga, submission skills and stealth entries. We instill in our students that your greatest weapons are your hands and your minds and not your guns and your muscle. We teach proprietary skills and techniques not old school metholodologies like profiling, criminal science behavior and expert pre-texting. If you do NOT understand the culture of the criminal mindset besides your garden variety terminologies, you're another wanna bee Dog. Do not ever insult a professional Bounty Hunter by associating his name with ours. You make think it is fun or a juvenile prank like I good take some good swipes at you with your Viking hat, your mug and your obstentatious girth. You've never seen one day on the battlefield.
We offer real bounty hunting in our course and cover a lot of ground in our first course. Our testimonials speak for itself. Most of them come from the military. I train SWAT teams, police and military abroad as well. My "warrior Level" trainin is for a week which incorporates expert firearm skills and survival, hand to hand and CQB makes for an elite Hunter when completed. Government sanction my courses for continuing education. I offer additional discounts for all Veterans. If I could offer it for free, I would but I need to eat. The regular rate is $1700.00 but for Veterans it is only $500.00.

Mr. Bernstein, I do not know where the angst in your reply comes from. I was asking questions out of genuine curiosity as to how your school functions. There was no need to get defensive and insulting. I am the furthest thing from "another wanna bee Dog." You are correct that I have not seen a day on the battlefield, so what? As to my horns, mug, and girth I'm sorry that a person with a love for life offends you. Thank you for sharing the website and cost for your school.
