Which SGT from the movie 'Platoon' do you most empathize with or emulate, and why? Maybe neither. Or maybe Chris, the main character.

I would argue that we all have both in us. Even if you start out like Chris or Elias, and enough darkness surrounds us, Barnes is more than willing to work through us. Great question, Chaplain.

Definitely not Chris -- he seemed like he was just along as an observer, watching but not making a difference.

I actually tended to empathize more with Barnes than Elias, despite the fact that Barnes' character was written to be unforgivable.
