I would rather be runner over by garbage truck and drown in my own blood than be seen looking that. There is patriotism, and there is just tasteless. Of course what do I know, some designer got a bazillion dollars for making that.

As for offending me, if it is in good taste and modest, no harm no foul. The outfit the gent is wearing at the start of this thread I would never wear but it's not really a true flag, so, I guess it passes the test. It seems Britons don't mind using the Union Jack in any way possible. I have to add that flag-ish use on paper cups, napkins and the like is something I will never purchase. Everytime we turn around, someone is offended by something.

A flag is offensive.

A religious group offends another.

A re-enactment of a historical event pushing another agenda is offensive.

Wearing the American flag is offensive.

When will the insanity stop? It's a shirt, pair of pants, a ball cap or shoes. It's not like the US flag is being worn as a cape by someone looking like the bizarre lovechild of Richard Simmons and Captain America.

This country needs to get back to what's really important. With an election around the corner, knowing the real issues will be the difference in swearing in a President who will get things done or end up with a buffoon that just wants to give us lip service.
