Imagine having the target tracking/engagement capabilities of an attack helicopter adapted to your service weapon. This is currently in production and available in 5.56mm and 7.62mm. Spend the 3 minutes and evaluate how effective this could be for our mud rolling ground pounders. Should this kit be incorporated into our armed forces. With all these troop reductions I say give our forces a better toy to do the job.

https://www.facebook.com/streetfx/videos/ [login to see] 810112/?pnref=story

Street FX Motorsport & Graphics | Facebook

Some scary new gun technology

Are you ready for the next giant leap in weapons marksmanship? 2015-10-21T14:05:13-04:00 SFC Mark Merino 1055556

I am not trying to promote or endorse any business, but this was sent to me from a fellow veteran. It must be interchangeable, durable fixable, easy to train and economical. I think it would be awesome to have the tracking/engagement capabilities of an attack helicopter applied to every weapon in the hands of a Soldier in a combat environment but I worry about all the things that can go wrong with a system such as this. We need to ensure that Soldiers are still able to fire with iron sights and that they know how to use them, that they know to adjust for wind and curvature, that they know the conversion system, that they don't forget the importance of body position and breathing, that they know how to adjust for uphill or downhill situations. Technology is great but it doesn't replace the basics of marksmanship when needed. So a thumbs up for the technological advancement but let's hold on to our skills. :-) Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 21 at 2015 2:29 PM 2015-10-21T14:29:00-04:00 2015-10-21T14:29:00-04:00 Maj Mike Sciales 1055673

Holy smokes! Spooky good - this is a game changer. Every troop a "one round one kill" performer? You know we need this but my only concern is how do they keep their technology from being compromised by Chinese, Russian and every other hacker? How do they keep this from falling into enemy hands when a soldier is killed in combat? Thumbprint? Eye print? I am fascinated. This (I'm sure) will never make it to an Olympic sport. It's GREAT for the military - but has nothing to do with "marksmanship" IMHO!
