This is what the Army has decided. The major operational installations got them 1st. TRADOC, I am told will start issuing them as basic issue for BCT/OSUT in Nov. That is likely when we have plenty on the racks. However, I bought the new OCP ACUs in what was my regular size in the UCP ACUs. The only problem is....they&#39;re way too baggy for me and the sleeves reach down to the first knuckle on my fingers. I&#39;d exchange for a smaller size, but they don&#39;t have the XS size at Hood. Guess I should eat my Wheaties and start growing!! I know they won't hit their shelves until the last wave because of the type of unit we are. I could ask a Battle Buddy of mine from another installation to pick up a few sets, so that might be an option too. I really don't have many good sets of ACU at the house. But being in the Guard if I get a set I will most likely be the only guy in my whole unit that has a set. I will most likely pick up a set. But I have yet to find my unit patch in Multicam unit. I have encouraged my Soldiers to do the same, to purchase the new uniforms in increments (which is in line with the SMA's comments). I'm looking forward to most of the changes in the new OCP. Being we are a Reserve Unit, we are not priority. Additionally, Officers and Senior Enlisted members are not issued the uniforms. Besides, it makes no sense to have two or three types of uniforms roaming around in formation. I haven't seen a lot of people wearing the new uniforms yet (though a huge line at clothing sales, so I expect we will see it soon). I have seen a lot of the old, well used OCP uniforms get pulled out of closets though. <br /><br />I honestly couldn't care one way or the other. I'll wear what the Army wants me to. There are some nice features on the new uniforms, but I still have some life in the ones I have. <br /><br />When I move, I'll move all at once. I don't like wearing mis-matched uniform items (even though authorized), and I don't want to have to keep track of two patterns worth of accessories.<br /><br />I'll get the new PTs first, though. Turns out, our BN Command team says they will put out a date when they want "everyone" to wear it. <br />They wont say we are not authorized to wear it, but I keep hearing that "I dont want to go against the BN Commander."
