What does everyone think of the Sec Def press conference today about BAH cuts, commissary prices rising, and paying co pays for medical visits?? The Army is really downsizing big time, I wonder how many people will get out on their own verses the Army getting rid of them.

The Defense Secretary is calling for a reduction in the overall fighting force of the US Military. This plan, which has been approve by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will reduce the overall number of uniformed personal to levels not seen since WWII. All of this is in effort to control the budget.
Do you think this reduction will help? What impact, if any, will there be if/when this country is attacked again? Is there any other way to reduce the defense budget even though 50% of it goes to personal-costs?
