Army Football - can we be competitive again within next 2-3 years?

Times have changed in football. NFL is king; College
Football is more popular than ever. Young athletes specialize sooner than even
20 years ago. In spite of these challenges, Air Force and Navy have done a much
better job of fielding competitive teams. Apathy is reaching an all-time high,
for both current USMA cadets and the Long Gray Line. If you are not a West
Point grad, what is your interest level in the team? What can be done to make
Army Football a consistent winner?

No interest due to losing records. No one likes a loser. Allow players to play in the NFL if given the opportunity. Pay the service back any money owed. Run a no huddle offense.

I'm a Navy fan and have been long before I attended the Naval Academy Prep School. Although I shout Beat Army, I wish the match up was more competitive because it would raise the profile of both Academies, and would aid in recruitment of top student athletes to the academies, and then into service. I think the BS BCS system works against most universities to draw the national attention and talent to improve football programs. It's been decades since either team qualified for a national championship. I think another problem that the academies face is two fold. Like Major Martin stated the NFL is king, and most players look at college football as a stepping stone to playing on Sundays, the other part is people being discouraged from military service by educators who see the military not as a noble service, but either a waste of good minds or a place where those that have no options go out of necessity.

It really wasn't that long ago that Air Force dominated the commanders cup, but frankly the Navy team the last few years seems to have the right mix and that QB they have has two more years, definitely not two years, my da igniter is a mid, I hear it all the time! I watched Navy games this year due to her participation in the drum and bugle corps, which means she is at games, they are a good team and for some time to come.
