Army releases preliminary uniform survey results. Are There New/Old Uniforms Coming?

Sergeant Major of the Army Dan Dailey is extending until Aug. 31 a soldier survey on several proposed uniform changes — including bringing back the iconic Eisenhower jacket, gender-neutral headgear, and black socks with the PT uniform.

Lets just make it all the same uniform across the board... All the whiners that want special uniforms so they can stand out need to be quiet already.

I agree with the single uniform for both genders. That seems to make sense along with the black socks for PT - considering the new uniform is black. The Ike jacket, not so much. If its going to be an optional item, fine but just seems needless though.

The surprising thing to me was the small difference in range in the survey? Everything was right in there about 60/40?

So who were the people surveyed? Did they all get the memo on how they were supposed to vote?

I think the army needs a kilt. Let's vote on that on too.

I did not know you could vote on stuff in the army till now. I wonder if you could bring stuff up to the command staff what would you want to vote on?
