SSG Private RallyPoint Member 8723642

Hello everyone, I Hope you're doing well, I just had a question. I completed 16 years active duty and was forced to ETS in Nov 2016. I lost my career because of a 4-2 ncoer in July 2011 and my name popped on QMP once I received a 4-3 ncoer March 2015. I was denied continued service and was given an ETS date of 1 Nov 2016. The two ncoers had "4" rating which I got popped for QMP. I fought and HRC removed the 2015 ncoer in Aug 2016 but to keep my career I had to remove or have the 4 changed on the 2011 ncoer. After years of fighting the 2011 "4" rating was brought down to a "2" rating yesterday. So over 7 years later what can I expect? What can I expect from an Army Review Board after successfully fighting to have bad NCOERs changed and removed from my file? 2024-04-10T15:14:07-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 8723642

Hello everyone, I Hope you're doing well, I just had a question. They recently issued a finding which changed the "Fair" to a "Successful" on the 2011 NCOER.

To your last line - "So over 7 years later what can I expect?" - about what? Going back into the military? A further action by the ABCMR? You might be able to join the Army National Guard and finish your last 4 years to get a 20 year retirement. or stay in until you are 60. Worth a try. They can give many waivers for many issues and all branches are hurting on recruiting numbers. Good luck. I think GOD was watching over me because from what I heard was he didn’t know how to write a proper NCOER. Let's just say, It never made it to my official record.

I was the only SSG in the BN to make SFC list..

Today... I am not sure how educated our NCO's and Offixcers are because, I still have all my NCOERS and the first one that was ever written on me was very poorly written.

I also know some sorry leaders let there own NCO's write their own NCOer's. Your ratings are still average at best therefore, you would not likely be promoted. Your best shot if you are looking to retain some value from the already sacrificed 16 as stated is likely the NG. You deserve a review at the very least. If I were you I would look objectively at your options and fight to place some value behind what you have already sacrificed.
