Nothing...they are still in College. Kids that one day will become men in our Armed Forces. Not different if people got made because the JROTC didn't do "Rear March" on the correct foot. Sooo....eh.

Now to be fair, marching it designed to move formations of troops nominally in "battle." It's a fundamental skill of the ground forces. Per the USMC:

- Move units from one place to another in a standard, orderly manner.
- Provide simple formations from which combat formations may be readily assumed.
- Teach discipline by instilling habits of precision and automatic response to orders
- Increase the confidence of junior officers and non-commissioned officers through the exercise of command, by the giving of proper commands, and by the control of drilling troops.
- Give troops an opportunity to handle individual weapons.

Now, I'm not saying the Navy doesn't do those things... but, the Navy's focus on those things is "different." Call it an "abbreviated" list.

Well, those lads sure do look smart on their way to another loss! 13-yrs ... uh ... let's go ahead and make that 14-consecutive years of losing to Navy. Although the Midshipmen surely could use some time on the grinder, they're doing just fine on the gridiron.

Is this about football or D&C? Because if it's about the latter, I have a story.

If it's about football, ignore the rest.

Yudh Abhyas 14, in Ranikhet, India. The opening ceremony had the two units involved march onto the field together. The Indian Army looked incredibly sharp, truly professional. The US element looked sloppy. I was embarrassed for them.

Being that I was a real shit head in high school, pretty sure I would have ended up either dead or in jail. Grew up in a tiny town (700 people) with nothing to do but get into trouble. The Marine Corps straightened me out and made me successful. Well as far as I'm concerned. Not Donald Trump successful but enough for me.

Pictures don't always tell the whole story. What if the Army was ready to begin marching and the Navy was just getting into formation to March. We don't know this by the picture.

Navy gives 0 f*cks knowing they're going to win? I hate to say that being I'm a proud Soldier, but damn can we win ONE for a change? We can destroy any enemy on the battlefield, but can't beat a swabbie, jarhead, or a squid on the grid iron.
