Army Wives: Ever watch it?

Ever see this series? Think it accurately reflects culture? Did you like it, maybe force your significant other to watch it before proposing?

Yes, I took one for the team, and watch with my wife; an Army wife of over 30 years. But, it got too goofy and unrealistic... and we eventually stopped... No idea how it ended...

I'll admit to watching it. I will say that they fixed some of the uniform issues after the first season. Is it perfect? No, of course not. But it does try to bring to life some issues our Army and our military families face. And if it fosters discussion and personal/professional growth as people discuss the issues, I wouldn't call that a loss.

I never had the desire. I watched every episode of The Unit and thought it was great other than the home scenes with the wives. I figured Army Wives was probably going to be only the worst parts of The Unit.

While I would never admit to watching it in front of my old Infantry buddies, my fiancee and I sat and watched a few seasons of it. We eventually lost interest as the storyline became too predictable, though we enjoyed it for the most part despite the obvious regulation flaws. They did get better about the uniforms, and technical stuff, but it was still fake as hell. I know it's supposed to be a "woman's" show, but I bet you some guys secretly like it. It's nice that at least the Army and it's families are getting some kind of recognition.

I can't say that I've watched more than a couple minutes of it. The building that they used for the hospital is located about a block from my office. It wasn't too uncommon to see the film crews and extras meandering around when I was trying to make a break for my half hour lunch :)

My wife watched it for a few minutes, didn't take it very seriously at all and was like why won't these women get jobs! This was before she met me but I think she would have a similar viewpoint today.
