As a 31B, what MOS can I transfer into easily?

I've been an MP for a while now,I'm proficient in both road and field but the opportunities are lacking,I'm promoteable and have above necessary points to get promoted but since were not a star mos getting slotted for BLC is a dream but I know the new system will get me a permanent slot soon but that's delaying my career goals.

I've been thinking about reclassing for over 2yrs now and wanted to know as a 31B what MOS can I transfer into easily,I'm read and willing to learn..I'm thinking of 11B(11c preferred)-12B-13B-13F-19D.

Any help from my seniors would be great.

11B is always a good choice for promotional opportunities, especially for a motivated trooper like yourself. This is old information as I have been out of the game for a while, so hopefully someone with more recent experience can back me up. If you go to Airborne and/or Ranger Schools, that will make you even more promotable.

Reclassing isn’t about what your current MOS is. It’s about what MOS’s are available for reclass. This is something that can possible change from one week to the next depending on how many school seats are available in the EDAS system (Career Counselors correct me if I’m wrong.) You mentioned career goals so it’s sounds like you’re looking at least a few years down the line. If I were you, I’d look at the MOS’s that are available to you (speak to your career counselor) and see which one will help you attain those goals the best. If your goal is to just get promoted fast, then enter ally combat arms MOS’s are the ones to do that. If you’re looking for a particular skill set, then there’s a multitude of MOS’s that offer different ones.

As far as going to BLC, there should be a reason why you couldn’t get a slot within your first few months of attaining your promotable status. Classes generally range in the amount of 150-200 Soldiers per class. It’s an OML based off of points when you’re promotable and you say that you already have enough to get promoted so the only factor I see that can possible be holding you back is your organization (whether it’s company or battalion level.)

Your NCO support channel should be doing everything they can to get you into a class if you’re promotable. Even more so if you already have enough points to get promoted based off of the recent cutoff scores.

Look at the In/Out calls, 11B, 13B, F, and 19D are all under strength so you should be able to transfer into those as long as there's a class seat

Army training prepares anyone for the basic entry knowledge, the rest is Soldiering. You should be able to transfer to any one of these MOS as long as they are available. Ensure that your fitness level is high as each of them can be physically demanding. Thank you for your service.

Since you are at Ft. Bragg, have you considered 37F (PSYOP Specialist)?

You’ll get jump school, language, and promotion to E5 shortly after completing the course. Not to mention worldwide mission; or just CENTCOM.

Why would you go from being an MP to infantry? Makes no sense to me honestly. Take your experience and go CID, CI, MI, or something else that will add to your current skill set; infantry won’t help your resume. Not to knock on 11Bs, more power to you for what you do, but as an MP with certain skill sets that are great for post career moves, it would be immature to not use them to your advantage in another MOS that would add to your resume.
