For example, I didn't know that the Navy had more relaxed standards when it came to mustache length and shaping. Sailors can have a much more realistic looking mustache than the ''Hitler'' style mustaches that we're only able to grow in the Army.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 2 at 2017 7:14 PM2017-08-02T19:14:04-04:002017-08-02T19:14:04-04:00Cpl Private RallyPoint Member2794531<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I wouldn’t say that I cross-reference the manuals but I do see the conduct of other branches and the one I’m in and compare the actions of individuals of similar grade between the branches.Response by Cpl Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 2 at 2017 7:23 PM2017-08-02T19:23:20-04:002017-08-02T19:23:20-04:00SSG Diane R.2794750<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would use the USMC required reading list and share it with my troops.Response by SSG Diane R. made Aug 2 at 2017 8:23 PM2017-08-02T20:23:09-04:002017-08-02T20:23:09-04:00MSgt Keith Hebert2794863<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You all the tools you can. <br />Being that I went to the air guard after being the Corps and army guard I found the difference especially discipline to be unnerving at the bestResponse by MSgt Keith Hebert made Aug 2 at 2017 8:49 PM2017-08-02T20:49:44-04:002017-08-02T20:49:44-04:00MSgt Mark Bucher2794936<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ahhhh no. The fact that you're doing this as an E3 shows that you already care about the mission. I was Army. In 2002, I found myself in an Army Company assigned to a Marine Batallion in Africa. My post Sergeant Major was USMC. My post Commander was USN. Our Military Police Company was relieved by a USAF SP unit when we jumped to Iraq. Keep charging forward. You'll do very well.Response by SGT Eric Hawkins made Aug 3 at 2017 1:08 PM2017-08-03T13:08:36-04:002017-08-03T13:08:36-04:00SSgt Nicholas Merchant2826690<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Anything you do to give yourself an edge is good. That said as a leader pulling ideas on leadership and regulations from other branches just helps you be a more knowledgeable leader and knowledge is power. I was SF and we found ourselves in many joint operational sittuations so its usefull to know how they do things.Response by SSgt Nicholas Merchant made Aug 12 at 2017 11:38 PM2017-08-12T23:38:47-04:002017-08-12T23:38:47-04:002017-08-02T18:53:22-04:00
