Then, check your file and make sure Everything is in it!
Lastly, do an Outstanding job as you have to be recommended by your Unit!
Good Luck! My wife was my biggest asset because she would ask me questions from it. I had it all printed out, and she would just randomly ask questions. Also, learn the Creed of the Non-commissioned Officer. You will also need for WLC because you will say it every day. BTW congrats on the promotion. Who are you going to lead, mentor, train, etc. in reference to your knowledge, and your maturity? This is no funny business. Has everything you need in there. You can do the memorize route and go on quizlet. There’s upwards of 300 questions on there. But if you really want to learn the “why” use promote or use regulation. However, another item to consider is to never stop building your referential power-base. This is your personal/professional network and will include the people on the board. While they don't pick winners based on who likes whom the most, they definitely will use it to pick the losers. If they know someone isn't ready to lead soldiers, they'll let them take the board for practice, but with the knowledge, they won't pass the board until they are ready.

Don't forget to practice your boards as well. If your command offers a soldier of the quarter/month/rotation, etc, participate. You may not win the first time, but with practice, you might. Even if you never win, the experience you get from participating will make you more successful when you finally appear before the promotion board.

Lastly, don't rush it. Be the soldier your command wants to promote because you embody the traits of a superior NCO every day. The leaders I respect the most from my time in the military were the ones who never wavered in their personal/professional ethics. Be that kind of leader and you'll do well.

Congratulations and good luck!
