As a prior service joining the AGR, is it possible to go from the recruiting station to 79V course, or would I have to join a TPU first? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/as-a-prior-service-joining-the-agr-is-it-possible-to-go-from-the-recruiting-station-to-79v-course-or-would-i-have-to-join-a-tpu-first

I’ve been out 2 years and wanting to come back in. I was honorably discharged as a Sgt. I know you have to submit a packet and the board has to approve, but I was curious to know if it was possible to go from recruiting station to 79V course? Or would I have to join a TPU first then apply? But, as I understand it, 79S, 79R and AS1 4 have a very high pickup rate for 79T and 79V.

But you should realize you have more control over your control in AD. As an RCCC, 79T, or 79V, you might be sent to somewhere else in the US. I would contact the local Career Counselor at the reserve center. From there, you will need to talk the Area Leader and the SGM for that command. Hiring for Army Reserve Careers Division is started at the Area Leader and SGM level. SGM Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 19 Aug 2021 02:07:20 -0400 2021-08-19T02:07:20-04:00 2021-07-09T15:33:09-04:00
