As a Sergeant going from NG to AD, what are some things that I should refresh on so that I will be up to speed?

I'm going from guard to active the recruiter is confident that he can get me in at one of my prior MOS is either 12 Bravo or 88 Mike.

As an NCO, you should already be up to speed or you wouldn't be an NCO. All you need to do now is learn what ever job you are going to get. Good luck to you.

Use the Troop Leading Process, counseling, and no last minutes stuff. Keep them informed. Grow your soldiers professionally and personally. I have always stressed E-5s to know their soldiers and families because you are where the rubber meets the road. My units always gave comp time so we had plenty of volunteers. Love your soldiers and be a super great example to them. How you lead them might have a lifetime impact.
