So I was wondering of any lesser known opportunities to do in the AL guard. Things that would look good on an ERB. I went to basic but not AIT. I’m currently participating in the MFH program. This adds an activity duty day to my regular drill LES for every day I do services along with retirement points. I know the guard will pay for motorcycle safety courses and such. Does anybody know of any other things I can do do benefit my career before I even go to AIT or my unit? Or just any tips for promotions and ribbons and such. I’ve already recruited a buddy to make E-3. If anyone knows any tips to help me be a high speed soldier let me know!!
Hopefully anything that can help me get ADOS orders and help be work towards getting AGR slots once I’m E4. Thank you for all the help! Hooah

You can probably complete whatever it is they are calling SSD1 these days. Other than that I do mot believe there is much else you can do as a non MOSQ soldier. I would start working on a Warrant Officer packet ;)

All of the requirements will be listed on the Warrant Officer recruiting webpage for each mos. There are regional recruiters that can also help you out.

They call SSD1, DLC 1 now. DLC 1 is now only available after hitting E-4 unfortunately...

It's been a while since i was a National Guard split option Soldier but my tip is to stay motivated and volunteer to go on orders if the unit ever needs help with things. Getting known as a go to guy is your first step.

Tracking, sir. I'm doing everything I can during RSP but we don't do many productive things there. When I get to my unit I'm gonna start volunteering for duties and such.

Let your unit admin know that you are willing to do extra work and be called up if needed. They will often get taskings to call up troops for a few weeks on short notice. Even if this isn't something you can do until school is over. Good Luck

From what the NGLNCO has told me your going to have to wait till you are MOSQ. Until then just keep on keeping on. If you can complete SSD1 as WO1 Serendensky suggested.
