As a veteran, have you found it harder to find and keep a job on the job market...or do you think you are being somewhat discriminated because you are a veteran or a disabled veteran? Your thoughts or experiences please.

It seems to be one of those 'it depends who you are talking to' things. There are places where veterans status help, Gov't, defense contracting or going through one of the Veterans Hiring initiatives. If you are just answering job ad's or going through someplace like Monster.com or Indeed.com, then corporate recruiters might shy from a veteran.
Possibly the best solution is to take a look at the many programs that exist to help veterans specifically, and see if one of them will suit your needs.

yes. Because of all my injuries and what I was told while I was being discharged -- after I got out, there was not much for me to do since I was told I could never work at the C.I.A or do anything like this - including Security.

I was able to pick up a Government job after retiring but it is far below my skill set. The problem is that all the jobs across the country that are equal to my skill sets do not pay moving expenses or PCS. Retirement pay sucks and disability is worse because they take it from your retirement pay. I have a large family so we can't afford to move across country and have 2 mortgages. It's frustrating and to be honest I'm scared to go into the public sector for jobs because I don't know about the job security out there...
