I know this is a huge long shot but if any Navy personnel in Hawaii have any live naval gun fire shoots coming up, I can provide trained army personnel to call for, observe and adjust fires. We train and qualify semi annually, but it is always done via computer simulation. If anyone can point me in the right direction so I can check live naval gunfire off my bucket list, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You might want to contact the Navy Gun Range at San Clemente Island. That is where we always shot the 5 inch 54 cal.

There is a NGFS RANGE in Hawaii, we used it in 85-86 on USS VINCENNES CG-49. BELIEVE IT OR NOT BUT WE HAD A PROBLEM IN THAT THEY WERE GIVING US ADJUSTMENTS IN METERS AND THE AEGIS SYSTEM IS SET ON OUR FOOT STANDARDS XO WAS WAS ABOUT TO GO ASHORE AND KICK SOMEBODY'S ASS. HE WAS THE CO OF DDG-51 ARLEIGH BURKE
