As an honorably discharged veteran (non-retired), would it be appropriate to wear your dress uniform to a funeral of another service member?

SSG James Doherty, I may be mistaken but I believe it IS permissible for prior service members to wear dress uniforms in that circumstance. The only requirement I know for sure is that you must be in compliance with AR670-1 regarding dress/appearance while doing so.

I don't know what any branch of service current regs says about this but anyone that says anything negatively about you wearing your uniform, or does anything negatively about it, would be doing something unsat in my mind.

Like others have posted. If you stand ready for an IG, don't know why it would be a problem. Show up with something out of line and an old Vet is going to call you on it and open up a can of worms. JMO

You can. I think that is one of the more appropriate times to wear it. I wont, but only because I am a bit wider around the midsection and cant button the jacket up lol.
