As an Iraqi vet re-enlisting as 11B, what should I expect at Fort Benning reception/BCT? Will I be allowed to wear my 1st Cav combat patch?

As long as you got the paperwork to back up the wearing of the 1st CAV on the right sleeve, wear it up. But...the DS's might pay closer attention to you and put you in charge of things

I'd recommend going in without any badges, tabs, or patches on that would make you stick out from the other trainees.

I had a 3 year break in service and wore my ribbons and CIB at Basic. All it did was bring attention to myself which the DIs harassed me the whole time. AIT was different. I was welcomed by the Drills.
