The only factor that would make you go back to basic is if you had a long break in service. I don&#39;t recall the length but I believe 3 years makes you repeat basic again. Other than that you shouldn&#39;t have an issue.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes you would need to go to basic. I had many former navy and air force candidates that went through OCS with me. All of them had to go through basic before OCS. The army let&#39;s marines go onto OCS without basic because they recognize their training as on par with the army.
