Yes you have to attend Army Basic Training, USAF Basic Training does not count. The only factor that would make you go back to basic is if you had a long break in service. I don&#39;t recall the length but I believe 3 years makes you repeat basic again. Other than that you shouldn&#39;t have an issue. I had many former navy and air force candidates that went through OCS with me. All of them had to go through basic before OCS. The army let&#39;s marines go onto OCS without basic because they recognize their training as on par with the army. Air force boot camp is not like the army anymore. Volunteer to go.
