Some cadets at my school have already been issued stuff so they get the schools OCIE, while some don&#39;t even get that and get their cadet ranks. Really dependent on what they already have and how they&#39;re going about being prior towards commissioning. It will completely depend on your unit. Many USAR/NG members are never given OCIE even as established soldiers in the unit for a year+, just....how the cookie crumbles. You can&#39;t really get an answer from strangers on the internet, you&#39;ll need to actually talk to your units&#39; supply. These items are usually issued within your basic OCIE issue from your unit and is usually better equipment if you can get it. Whatever you cannot get from your unit you should be able to get from the ROTC, but depending on your program it may not be as good, e.g. Vietnam era equipment that looks like they picked up from an Army Surplus.
