The U.S. Army doesn&#39;t actually have a cavalry branch; they fall under armor on all official paperwork. If you are taking a DA photo you must wear your armor insignia (the one with the tank). Otherwise, if you are wearing the armor insignia without being forced to I hope someone punches you because you need to demonstrate the pride that you have earned. I have never seen a D wear the sabers with a tank. 19K’s drive tanks. That’s all they drive hence the tank. Scouts have a direct lineage to the old horse cavalry hence Cavalry Scout.
