At Fort Bliss, what is the nicest housing and which is the best school?

Hi,
I am currently on assignment to ft Bliss coming from Germany. My wife and I are tying to see what is the nicest housing on post? We also have 2 children that will be attending elementary and middle school so what is the best school?

You earlier received the housing advice, as for schools, if you live on post they are a better controlled environment while run by the city (if that haven’t changed). If off post the Far East and west sides have the best environment. The bottom line is parental awareness, communication with the children and involvement with whichever school they attend. Both of our children attended school in and off post, both of them are well adjusted and doing considerable well in their professional careers. Thank you for your service.

I live at Rio Bravo housing. Pretty much on base housing all look the same. Now Rio Bravo works better for me due to it being close to all the BCT and the CAB. Where as the other ones are on Main post closer to the stores. Now, there is off base housing that is ran by the base, and from what I've seen it's so so.

Rio Bravo for the E1-E6 rank band is pretty centrally located to every side of post, and closest to far East Bliss if you wind up in either unit out there. DivArty or 1st BDE. Basically quad plex townhomes with 1 car garages. A lot of main post housing is currently being torn down. Chamizal Vista, La Noria, and Van Horne are all the same as Rio but are directly away the end of El Paso Airports runway.... so I'd avoid those. Other than those everything else is just nothing special. Neither good or bad. But better housing can definetly be found off post for the same amount.

Not a one I was there for 3.5 year housing is short on and of post. schools if you aren’t from Mexico your kids will have a hard time in all the school good luck
