Ok. So my RPER's. I have a challenge on my hands. My son and daughter have asked me point blank if I was Santa....Of course I pretended that I did not hear the question....so here is the fun! When did you discover that Santa was who they were, and how did you find out!!! Mine was this....I woke up and heard my Dad swearing like crazy about the instructions being in Japanese....and how the blankety blank am I going to get this bike together before the morning.....needless to say....kind of a give away! I cannot wait to hear the stories from everyone.....

At around age 7 or 8, SrA Jeff Campbell. My twin brother and I realized there were no Easter Bunny tracks in the snow, we asked a few questions, and we were onto the "lie" and we figured it applied to Santa as well. We thought we were pretty smart to figure that out.

A neighbor and I made templates and used talcum powder to leave a trail of rabbit tracks around the neighborhood leading to each porch where we left a small Easter basket. You should have seen the gang of kids following them squealing with delight. Yes Virginia, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and countless other joys of childhood will always exist so long as we keep them alive.

Cried my eyes out at 5 I believe. I asked mom for the truth, she gave it to me.

Years ago I had a client, a fellow Vietnam Vet, who was injured when a mortar round hit the outhouse where he was relieving himself. He survived and returned to the states on a mission. His success in business allowed him to spend several tens of thousands of dollars on toys ever Christmas, and dress as Santa to distribute them at orphanages. His story is but one of many I know of similar acts of generosity, many by veterans similarly inspired by their experiences in war.

Don't tell me that Santa doesn't exist...
