The upshot of that basically is that if your spouse decides to live with mom in Manhattan instead of Knoxville, TN, you still get the BAH for Knoxville and are not entitled to the higher rate (and COLA) for New York City.<br />A lot of troops try to game this, but it won't work.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 15 at 2015 11:30 AM2015-12-15T11:30:27-05:002015-12-15T11:30:27-05:00SSG Robert Smith1178833<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You get BAH anytime you're on orders.Response by SSG Robert Smith made Dec 16 at 2015 12:41 AM2015-12-16T00:41:30-05:002015-12-16T00:41:30-05:00SGT K G2965181<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To answer this for future reference. NG does receive it with no extra paperwork as you are on Title X orders. You complete forms as you go through the process, but do not need extra copies of leases etc. As far as storage, I'm still working on that as a travel expense.Response by SGT K G made Oct 2 at 2017 4:35 PM2017-10-02T16:35:46-04:002017-10-02T16:35:46-04:00SFC Joanna Rydzewski5315745<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You are considered total active duty while deployed in red AGR Status too.
