Ball Etiquette: drop-off or make her walk?

So you're taking your wife/girlfriend/date to the ball. Do you drop her off to at the front door and then park the car or do you park and "hoof it" together. Just seems awkward either way.

You are not wrong to escort your date personally....a taxi might be in order to alleviate the choice of dropping off or walking with your date....it also offers choices inside the facility as well with what you decide to fill your glass with.

Depends on the layout of the venue. My wife has muscular dystrophy, so dropping her off is a common occurrence.

I think it depends on the weather. Seriously I don't mind walking from the parking lot in unless it happened to be raining, snowing, sleeting...then you know I'd rather not end up ruining all the preparation look. Another thing is I don't like or want to stand around alone at the entrance while I'm waiting for my escort to park the car and walk in. That's just me.
