If you mean allowances like HDIP parachute pay, they only apply to the units that are on jump status by MTOE.

https://www.dfas.mil/MilitaryMembers/payentitlements/Pay-Tables/HDIP/

Current compensation authorized by law. https://militarypay.defense.gov/Pay/Special-and-Incentive-Pays/Index/#305

There is an automatic promotion to E4. But you’re national guard so it might be years till you get the chance to attendResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2020 8:00 PM2020-05-31T20:00:09-04:002020-05-31T20:00:09-04:00SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member5956628

As SFC Boyd has stated is correct only thing you might get is whether or not your State National Guard has an Airborne unit or Special Forces detachment. Only one I’m aware of is the Long Range Surveillance Company in Indiana NG and their SF Detachment which are both airborne qualified units but still they don’t get the same as active duty jump status HDiPResponse by SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made May 31 at 2020 9:01 PM2020-05-31T21:01:51-04:002020-05-31T21:01:51-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member5957022

If you have the opportunity to attend Ranger school from basic, definitely DO IT! In the NG, you may never get the opportunity again. In my state (IL), we only get maybe one slot per year statewide, and they usually won't fill it because it's too expensive with pay, travel, per diem, and family sep (plus any recycles). Those that have been able to attend are either officers or E6+.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 1 at 2020 12:01 AM2020-06-01T00:01:45-04:002020-06-01T00:01:45-04:002020-05-31T19:37:11-04:00
