SGT Justin Singleton 391122

I am trying to highlight some of the benefits a prior-service vet has in the archaeological world. Here is what I have come up with so far:

Expertise in :

—geography and geographical tools (GPS, compass, etc.)
—health and safety (heat awareness, first response, etc.)
—discipline (excavations are like very short tours...before too long everyone wants to kill everyone else)
—hard work (actual digging, picking, etc. is not unusual for us)
—leadership (leading a team/square or a field/squad)

I know not everyone knows what goes on during an archaeological excavation, but what am I missing? See the link below for my full blog article on the benefits.

(Copy and paste the link into your browser window)

ju8693.wix.com/justinsingleton#!Benefits-of-a-Military-Past-in-an-Archaeological-Career/cfxs/26AA9624-0403-4C36-B523-0A61D53DA9C3

or

http://goo.gl/Mjm9MR

JustinSingleton.com

Digging for the truth...to set you free.
