It is still considered "social media" but more on the business side, jobs opportunities, network, etc. I haven't been really active for a while, but I would recommend LinkedIn to anyone who is serious in business networking/connections, and certain jobs interests.Response by SSG Jose M. If I post a job, I can also request special sites such as Rigzone.com if I am targeting a specific group of applicants. The majority of my jobs I've gotten from knowing someone who gave me a foot in the door though. However, I did get one of my freelancing jobs through a Facebook post. You can create a profile, civilian words, not military jargon, and LinkedIn will pair that profile with employers. To this day I still get posts from LinkedIn on jobs available for me. It's a great resource just for that but you can also build contacts with individuals working in the industry(ies) you are interested in.
