That is an extremely important document that you will need when you apply for jobs, buy a house, use the Gi Bill..etc. Didn't they brief you that when you were in TAP? Sorry didn't mean to be brash. Anyways the link that PFC Kenneth Koepke listed is correct. Once you recieve that copy from the archives make a zillion copies and keep the extras in a safe place. It has to either be faxed or mailed. They do not except electronic requests. I just recently got mine. It took a couple weeks and I used the fax method. It's a great source for accessing your benefits. You can download most of what you need there. I have also asked for my DD214 at my VA Office and they have hooked me up. Hope this helps. I have a document pouch that I keep all my important papers in, and whenever I move i make sure that pouch is the first and second thing I find.
