Bradley Manning was convicted and sentenced to 35 years. Is the commutation order still valid if it names Chelsea Manning?

A military judge sentenced Pfc. Bradley Manning to 35 years in prison for providing more than 700,000 government files to WikiLeaks, a gigantic leak that lifted the veil on American military and diplomatic activities around the world.
RPers......If Former President Obama signed the order with the Name Chelsea Manning on it is it still a valid legal document....Manning may self Identify all he wants but he was convicted and is still legally Bradley Manning or if name was legally change....BLUF does the name on the document need to be the same as his legal name what ever that might be

I appreciate and agree with your sentiment, Staff, but I'm pretty sure this dog don't hunt. Unfortunately. No way someone lets POTUS make a mistake like that.

I would bet, if the cards were played right Manning is an attention whore. Give it a few years for him/her to think he/she has gotten a walk in the park. Plant an operative to frequent there daily life and befriend him/her and all you need is one new confession of evidence.
People like this only confess what there caught with, not everything they did. And it won't take long for Manning to start blabbing away to someone they trusted and felt close to. A person who manning felt was the only person not judging him/her.
Manning already knows how to point out CI, or even people like me. But a flaming gay nurse, or something with no military experience. That way certain military habits can't be seen. Because Manning will be ever watchful for a while. An incomplete thought, but a thought.

Pretty sure it sticks, legally changing your name doesn't change your legal history, Just like when people marry and take spouses last name. Their Driving record, Criminal Record and Credit History go with it.

if you are arrested or receive a ticket and the officer writes the wrong name on it its thrown out in court even though everyone knows it was you.
When you marry you legally change your name, The marriage certificate is filed with the court and you need to show it to the DMW, DEERS, ect to get new ID otherwise its just an alias.

Apples and Oranges. Manning legally changed her name to Chelsea. Its not like Obama pardoned Platypus Delrico Manning III.
