You get to see how the military is run and payed for through contracts and purchasing. Gives you an entirely new perspective on why things happen the way they happen, and for what reason you are using the equipment you are using.
SGT Thomas Sullivan Tue, 15 Apr 2014 09:48:07 -0400 2014-04-15T09:48:07-04:00 Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 16 at 2014 3:48 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/broadening-assignments-after-company-command?n=103430&urlhash=103430

TWI (Trining with Industry) I hear is great. Any competetive fellowship accademic/congressional is great too. There I more thatn just Big Army out there, so even a stint in 160th or 75th cvan be grreat for broadening. Take a look at the Branch page on HRC they list all Broadening assignments and the Pre-requisites. I appreciate the strategic-level knowledge I've gained on the Joint Staff. It may be misleading to lump those two distinct areas together under "broadening." I would recommend fully funded graduate school, USMA staff and faculty, TAC Officer (which is what I did; one of my favorite jobs ever), and ROTC APMS.
