Enlisted time does not count towards next officer rank like professional degreed or credentialed civilian time may. From what I understand, time spent in your actual profession is counted at 50% towards your experience (creditable service). So, if you have 4 years as a SW, then it would equate to 2 years of creditable service. Don’t quote me on this though. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 12 Nov 2018 14:04:00 -0500 2018-11-12T14:04:00-05:00 Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 12 at 2018 4:39 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/calculating-years-of-experience-into-commissioned-pay?n=4121081&urlhash=4121081 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It&#39;s either 3 years of service AD or 12 years reserve time. Most reservists average 65points per year. You will have more the years you went to basic and AIT.
