Calling all nerds. How do I delete apps from my iPhone with iOS 10?

When I press and hold on the app this is the screen I get. Other people are getting the X to delete still. I've tried a hard reset and still the same. Did the update break my phone?

I have iPhne 6 with IOS 10, I still get the x to delete apps when I touch and hold.

You have an iPhone with 3D Touch (6S or newer). It senses how hard you press on the screen. You seem to be pressing hard and bringing up the quick action menu of the app. Lightly hold your finger on the app icon to get the X to be able to delete it.
Otherwise, go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud... > Manage Storage (under storage) > select an app > delete app.
