Camp Humphreys or Daegu?

I'm thinking about volunteering to go back to Korea. First time I went I was stationed in Yongsan Garrison but I know there's no way I would get sent there again. Has anyone been to either Camp Humphreys or Daegu? Which one is better?

Daegu definitely!!!
I was stationed on Camp Walker and i enjoyed it.

I've been to both and every time I visit Humphreys, I can't wait to go back to Daegu.

I guess it depends on your preferences. Humphreys is a massive base, where the Daegu Base Cluster is much smaller and compact.

Was stationed at Humphreys and visited Daegu a couple times for work. I definitely would've enjoyed Korea more if I was stationed their instead. Overall Daegu is a more developed city than Pyeongtaek.

Camp Humphreys... they’ve had a major transformation and upgrade to the installation. Camp Humphreys will be the major hub for personnel coming into Korea. Yongsan personnel are all being transferred to Humphreys. I was stationed at both Yongsan and Humphreys. I did 3yrs while at Humphreys and let in September 2015 halfway through the transformation. I would love to go back there since they are 85-90% completed.

I just got back from Daegu. I am Air Force and was in Daegy AB. I loved Daegu and I feel Camp Walker and Henry seem more relaxed than Humphrey. They offer less amenities in Daegu on base, however off base is superior imo. I went on a new trail hiking almost every weekend and the mountains are only 6 miles from Daegu AB. The Army bases are right by the good parts of the town. It's really easy to get around town as well. Only caveat is the ability to speak English is not good with most Koreans in Daegy versus up north where we have a larger footprint. You can walk everywhere you need to go to in Daegu. Humphreys you will need to get a taxi or something to get around because it's mammoth comparably. Let me know if you have questions on Daegu, I loved it.

If you want to see more of Korea and want access to decent beaches during the summer, go to Daegu. If being on a big post with all of the amenities is more important to you, go to Humphreys.

definitely Humphreys.... It's in the middle of things and one of the biggest overseas installations. There are a lot of amenities available to you.

I've been to both, having been stained at Daegu. I'd pick the later due to fewer American presence and the Koreans are amazing there. Lots of thing to do would Daegu as well, hiking, partying and all. It's a gem. Humphreys is nicer for American style amenities, however getting around isn't as easy imo and going to see Korea from there is harder IMO.
