Can 11B reclass to 160th?

It’s not a reclass, to be in 160th, you have to go to their selection otherwise known as green platoon. Go talk to a 160th recruiter

160th is not an MOS, you can't reclass to it. You can reclass to an MOS that the 160th accepts and apply to them.

You don’t reclass to the 160th... speak to your local recruiter for the 160th, mind you the selection process is strenuous from what I’ve heard... youtube “160th Green Platoon” not for the faint of heart... best of luck

160th is a unit. 160th SOAR or Special Operations Aviation Regiment. You don't reclassify to it you try out for it. Contact one of their unit recruiters to I inquire about joining the unit

When I reclassed to Aviation it could be done using your 1st reenlistment option or med reclass. You would have to be E4 or below not promotable to E5. If you are E4p you will lose p status as I did. Usually E5 or above were not allowed to reclass to aviation or unless force reclass (ie then the Huey Mos) There were cases of individual reclass of E5 but rank was dropped to E4 to avn log school.
At one time you could not reclass from a shortage Mos to non shortage.
This was as of 2005 when I left and things have changed so much since then it may be different now. I would talk to your reenlistment NCO about current options.

160th is comparable with the 75th. It’s not a job, it’s a unit. Not everyone in the 75th is infantry, but everyone has to go through RASP. Not everyone in the 160th is aviation, but everyone has to go through their selection process.

I am 71, and still proud of being 11b to start with. Before it was over I had quite a few mos's.
