Can 1SG force me to walk & stretch during PT hours while on a no PT profile?

I have myocarditis. An issue with my heart. The cardiologist told me not to do any training at all even at home for the next 3 months. My command was okay with it until recently. The 1SG told me I could leave every day after first formation. Recently they started telling me to stretch drill every morning. I was ok with this and avoided the exercises that might get my heart pumping. Today, the 1SG told me I have to walk around until the end of PT hours. I'm only afraid it's going to get worse and I still have a month left on this profile. I'm not trying to fight with my command or look like a Sh!tb@g soldier, but I am worried about my heart as it could grow into a permanent condition if not allowed to rest. Is this allowed and if not, what should I do about it?

A couple of things: Other than what your profile says you can't do, what does it say that you CAN do? Now, if what your 1SG is wanting you to do is in fact violating your profile in regards to your cardio concerns, have your medical provider speak with your Command. It could be something as simple as the 1SG not specifically knowing what could inflame your medical concerns and having the doctor explain it could just be what is needed to clear the fog of war.

Go back to your Doctor and ask them to write a profile that specifically indicates what you can and cannot do. It has to be very specific.

If it ain't on the profile, you can do it.
Having said that, I am not trying to mess with a Soldier with a heart condition.
I think that your attending physician should be the tiebreaker here. If he/she gives you the green light to walk for PT, then that is the answer. After all, you should be doing something to keep you body moving and healthy.

No PT means exactly that. Walking is a part of PT, so as previously stated, go see your physician immediately. Good luck to you....

Walking is a part of PT, it is a cardio exercise, so the answer to that is no. As previously stated go see your physician immediately. Good luck to you

I don’t want to sound like a d*** but if you are going to argue with your 1SG about walking during PT but break your profile going to work or back home than you really need to get it fixed to say something else

I believe these are questions for your doctor. If walking is prohobited by your PT profile? If it is than 1SG cannot go against that. If walking is not prohibited on your PT profile than he can. Again check with your cardiologist.
