Can 35N still apply to get credits from Cochise college after AIT?

So like the topic says, can 35N still apply to get credits from Cochise college after AIT? At the time I was young and dumb and didn't know how college credits would help my career. Now I'm trying to find a way to still get those credits

I fail to see the issue. Properly earned college credits do not simply disappear after one leaves the college or pursues a variety of paths post undergrad education. If you're trying to renter the collegiate scene, simply request transcript of your previous institution of higher learning. That said you first college must be accredited, and your previous course work must have credible educational value,,applicable to your new corse of study.

Contact Cochise and find out. It may require some working through the Goodfellow Cadre, but you should be able to get them. I was told when I went to ALC, as I was in the same boat, that there may be some paperwork to be done (proof of graduation, finding your grades from AIT and translating them to course grades, etc.) but it can be done.

Do you still have your transcripts from Cochise when you left AIT ? If so just take them to the Ed center and they'll write you a memo and you take that to s1. If not then contact Cochise and get those transcripts. And depending on when you went to AIT depends on if it'll go on your JST. I just went through that issues.

I'm not a 35N but I'm guessing it's a similar process that I would've gone through in 35F school. In the beginning of your AIT Cochise would've had you fill paperwork out & pay them (for me it was $55 -I think for the credits). At that point at graduation you received a transcript & if you transferred credits to them, possible an AS. Now, since you didn't opt in by the sounds of it I would call or email. I still have their card in my wallet & I can send the info to you tomorrow that way you aren't wasting time chasing around the appropriate person.

Seems like pretty good advice has been given SPC(P) Justin Bergquist . I used to work on the 35T committee and this was a frequent issue, even for our course. Many people did not take advantage while in school. There are a couple ways to do this, first I would contact the registrar office at Cochise to see if they can directly fix it. They are good people. If they cannot point you in the right direction, I would contact the 35N committee in GFAFB and work with their committee POC. I am sure there is one NCO/Instructor that is the POC for the committee that consistently works with Cochise. If you have challenges, email me on global. I know a few guys at the course that should be able to assist. Next time, when you are in ALC or SLC someday, don't pass up the advantage of free college credit.

Yes, try going through your schools NCO, and if they can't help you, contact Cochise directly. They will tell you what you need to do, or of any courses you need to take. When I was at BNCOC (now ALC) they were offering contact with Cochise, and later when I was an instructor at Goodfellow AFB, Cochise was also available. So just because you didn't do it then, doesn't mean you can't do it now.

Honestly I doubt it. I graduated a few months back and the school house, and Cochise actually had falling out. Long story short, for the time being or at least as far as I am aware, you can no longer get credits from Cochise for the 35N course. They didn't even offer it to us, and there were a few guys in our class that washed in, and already paid for the credits and had to fight to get them....

Here at the Sierra Vista campus which is right outside Ft. Huachuca, they offer 8-10 credits for all 35N when they attend ALC here. I know it does help much with your rank but thought I'd give you that bit of information

Cochise College is working on giving credit again for 35N AIT but cannot give credit for past AIT attendees unless the program was offered at the time they were in AIT. I expect you may have more luck with Angelo State University at present but if in AIT currently you may be able to get credit just not like for past AIT students.

When you go through ALC and SLC they will give you the option to receive college credits.

Update Dec/2018. The cadre let the accreditation lapse and those credits aren’t available anymore.
