Can a 11C switch to 11B without extra training?

Hey I'm an 11C undergoing an interstate transfer. The drill site closest to me only has an excess 11C slot for me which means I will not be able to get an exception to the policy for my student loan repayment bonus which I really need. I could reclass inorder to get a real slot and get my bonus. I don't want to have to go through an entire AIT. 11C in the National Guard also have an incredibly slow career progression due to the low number that states have for them. Is it possible for me to reclass into a 11B? Would I have to go back to Benning in order to do this? I was in the first 22-week cycle for 11C so would that entail me meeting training requirements? I never met a 11B that spoke about doing anything that I didn't do at OSUT.

To go off of my last question many of you helped me with, they gave the top 10 soldiers for the prior service guys the opportunity to get shipped if we went 11C, i volunteered just to get out of here quicker. I've been told i could switch to 11B once i get to my duty station by putting in a 4187 packet. Is it really that easy ? Also do 11C get slots a lot of slots for airborne ? i want to go airborne as well.

If you went though you training prior to 31 AUG 12, then the schoolhouse says you can be awarded the MOS without further training. If after that date, you'll either have to go through formal training or submit a MOS Determination Waiver request*

Per HRC*, for the Reserve Component - Soldiers in the grades of E1 through Non-promotable E4 (PVT-SPC), reclassifying into the MOS 11B must complete the MOS 11B reclassification course (MOS-T) under the auspices of the U.S. Infantry School.

No, you're not allowed to go back to Benning for this.

The 11B MOS transition course is 3 weeks, and taught at several RTIs across the Guard, to include Arkansas, New York, Oregon, Virginia and Puerto Rico.

FYI, you were going to need an ETP approved for your SLRP anyway, because that was tied to your MOS and your UIC.

You're already qualified as an 11B, every 11C is qualified as an 11B first before continuing to the 11C portion. It only takes a memorandum from the Infantry Proponent to state that you meet the qualifications and you can reclass without training.

As for the reclass itself, that's up to whatever provisions the NG requires

I reclassed on Active Duty from C to B. No schooling or anything else just reup to change MOS

Okay question is 11C a mortar man. When I served11B and C did same training. 11C were part of infantry unit. Has that changed? I served 86-89
