Can a 42A attend DLI?

Firstly, "apart" means away from. Add that space in there.
Secondly, I would imagine that there would have to be a need for you to learn a foreign language and attend DLI to do it. If you want to go to DLI, I would think reclassing to a 35 Series MOS would be the easiest way. Check with your Career Counselor or the "In/Out Call List" for your MOS and the one you want to go into.

Only as a Defense Attache. 42A itself is not authorized language. DLI is a PCS move so the only unit you would be part of there would be DLI. The only enlisted MOSs authorized DLI are 09L, CMF18, 35L, 35M, 35P, 37F and 38B
