Hello i want pcs to fort knox ky, does anyone know if cooks go there? And if you been there how was you experience did you like it? Any other advices as far as good duty stations? Thanks

Good Grief- it is still an active duty Post, thro with out many schools/units there anymore. They still have DFAC, so the will still need cooks- how many is the question.

There are still a few MTOE units on post; the 3rd ESC and an engineer brigade. They will have organic mess sections. Once upon a time, the VIP quarters on base also had higher level cooks assigned. Not sure any more, but you can check. 3 Bde, 1st Inf Div deactivated a few years ago.
The consolidated dining facilities are civilian operated by a company called Red River, but the contractor may have changed.
